History
Washington Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, was founded in 2024 by Andrew Weiler, a high school golf coach and 5th generation resident from Wahkiakum County, Washington. Inspired by his experiences coaching in a rural community, Weiler recognized the need for greater equity in youth golf opportunities across the state.
After leading his high school girls' team to consecutive state championships, Weiler launched the foundation to provide scholarships, tournaments, clinics, and educational resources to young golfers in underserved areas. Through annual fundraising events, Washington Youth Golf Foundation aims to bridge the gap between rural and urban youth golf programs, ensuring that all aspiring golfers have the chance to thrive.
Our most recent milestone was awarding our first boys and girls scholarship to graduates from Wahkiakum High School's class of 2026. In 2027, we aim to award scholarships to graduates in Longview and Kelso, WA.
